Blue or green will make your eyes pop. Go to the Mary Kay website and do a virtual makeover. There's also a tutorial on how to do your makeup. What Eye shadow should i use?
bronze colored
Soft lilacs and pink toned bronzes make brown eyes pop.

I don't know your skin undertone or i'd be able to be more specific on color choice. For eyeshadow the key is in the application. Softly building color rather than slapping it all on at once will make a lot of difference. Find a color you like and buy a light version of that color, a medium and a dark. Have the color gradually get darker on the outer corners of the eye and in the crease. A lot of makeup companies make kits that already have the varying colors in them. Eyeshadow color absolutely doesn't depend on what you wear. That was the rule in the 80's if you match your eyeshadow to your clothes you will look dated and older. You don't see any new ads in magazines perfectly matching makeup to clothing because it's dated. It can be done and occasionally when done by a professional with contrasting colors played in, the matching your clothes to your makeup works but not normally in real life, only with camera lighting. The colors you wear are determined by your skin tone (cool vs warm), skin pigment (fair, light, medium, dark, or deep), and the color of your eyes and hair. If you want a true guide to what colors will work well on you get a magnifying glass and hold it over your eye to magnify the retina then look in the mirror. You'll see a million different colors in your eye. Try and match your favorite one or find a color chart and pick a color opposite of your favorite color fleck to really pop that color out of your eyes. By doing this you can make brown eyes look more amber or green eyes look more blue..either way it gives you a brilliant palette to work with.
Okay i am a brunette too with so-so skin. I like to use a light purple w/ brown @ the crease, it's very pretty and it makes your eyes stand out. For a more natural look try light browns. they bring out your eyes and at the same time don't look too over done. Also, mascara helps alot too, but don't even think about eyeliner, it just doesn't look natural and it's too..too..well it makes some people look like raccoons. Try and find what fits you best!
use a shade thats close to your natural eye color. then dab a little bit of gold tint. (gold eyeshadow is really ';in'; right now.)
light brown and dark brown would work
It depends on what you're wearing. You should try consulting with a professional at the lancome, estee lauder, and clinique makeup booths at stores such as macy's and dillard's. They'll give the best advice. I wouldn't trust the little amateur teens on this website.
Deep pinks and really light plums work. NEVER use blue eyeshadow because that pretty much never work.

If you have big eyes, to make them appear small use darker colors.

Vice versa with small eyes.

Gray eyeshadow looks great on almost anybody.
bronze colored, i have the same hair and eyes, everyone says it is gorgeous, it is fresh and good for all occasions, with people like us, you can use other colors, but bromze is the best way to go, it is way natural, and makes your eyes stand out in a beautiful way.
I would try using a gold, pink or lavender color, i know it doesnt sound great, but give it try , my friends loved it
