to stay safe, make sure that the colours are from the same family...like blue and purple, green and turquoise, grey and white.
but if u wanna be bold, u can go beige and turquoise, gold and cobalt blue, purple and magenta, pink and silver, etc. u can make ur own colour themes by combining two or more sets of powder-cream eyeshadow.

well light blue to azure and purple
or peach pink then cherry
or light green grass green then darker
just take one color in all its shades and gradualy darken
