How do I apply the l'oreal Hip eye shadow??

I have the ';wicked 536'; color one the left its gold and on the right its a violetish purple so where should I apply it I've seen the commercial and the don't apply it normally so do u know where to put it?? Pls help??How do I apply the l'oreal Hip eye shadow??
first do the violish purple.. and use it as a base.. that means.. do it on your eye all of it.. and then use the gold in the edges.. and blend... the secret is that you practice.. look his video might help you
