i use a light color like a tan, for the lids to the brow. and from the bottom of the lid to the crease i use a darker color like a chocolate brown, and to out line the crease i put a lair of really dark and sparkley black.
Purples tend to look the best on hazel eyes, they really enhance the colors of the eyes. Greens also tend to work well with hazel eyes. If you choose to use purples i would say get an eyeshadow trio that has three shades of purples. Put the medium shade on the whole eyelid up to the crease, then put the darkest shade in the crease, then finish with the lightest shade on the brow bone and in the inner corner of the eyes. just make sure you put the green eyeshadow on your lid, the brown in the crease and the Golden Sandy colour around your outer V.
