Is it a sin for women to where eye-shadow?

';The whoredom of a woman may be known in her haughty looks and eyelids. If thy daughter be shameless, keep her in straitly, lest she abuse herself through overmuch liberty.'; (Eccles. 26:9-10)Is it a sin for women to where eye-shadow?
No, makeing yourself look beautful is not a sin.

This quote applys to ';whores';-prositutes if you will-note: ';whoredom';- whore-dom

Makeing your self look beautiful to seduce men for sex is a sin that is called prostitution.

This does not include making your self look beautiful to get a boyfriend and husband. That is normal and is accepted by GOD. Prime example look at Ester.

Making yourself look nice is not a sin, godly king wore robes that showed their wealth and power. look at Kind David and Solomon. To say assume such thing will contradict many things in the bible so feel free to where you eye-shadow, high heels, designer dress, and all of that good stuff. god wants you to look good when representing him. And if anyone tell you other wise you direct them here, lol.Is it a sin for women to where eye-shadow?
This may be the case during ancient times, maybe this was high fashion during those old times. So you should not take it literally.

Of course it is no sin!

Todays whoredom can been seen around around you: shamelessness in dressing and talking provocatively, showing lots of skin and bosom, legs, butts....(20th Century, 2009) :) :) :) :)
Back in the day, the Egyptian women (and men) used eye makeup and the Hebrews thought that it demonstrated their belief in the wrong gods. None of that has any effect on modern fashion trends.
I think that in today's society the idea of wearing eye shadow being a sin is basically ridiculous. If you want to wear eye makeup, go ahead and have at it.
Do what you think is right, not what someone else tells you. Especially not what a bronze age text tells you is right.
oh come now, everything up to and including thought is a sin

it is meant to keep you in line and obeying the priest
Where eye shadow? There eye shadow? Here eye shadow?
of course not
no the bible was edeted by men at one point to becom verry sexest and take away freedom from women so ware your eyeshadow and dont worry what god thinks
it depends, do you like to wear eye shadow? generally, anything you enjoy is a sin.
i find it highly unlikely.
Screw ';sins';...be only responsible to yourself...we've overthrown religion already!
no...sin is defined in EX 20

its spelled wear
Where's this eye shadow?

I can't see because I'm not wearing my glasses.
