Eye shadow with a creamy consistency?

I was reading this article on elle.com and it says to choose a eyeshadow with a creamy consistency. I don't have any eye shadow with creamy consistency. Is there a way I can mix the eyeshadow with water or lotion or something so that it is creamy? If that is a bad idea then could you please tell me a good brand to buy creamy consistency eye shadow from? Thank you!

MAC makes cream color base eyeshadows Check them out on their website.
If you try mixing your powder eyeshadow with a tiny bit of vaseline this will make a creamy/glossy look
Elle saying you should choose an eyeshadow with a particular consistency is Elle's opinion.


If you'd like to try it however, you can. Powder shadow is powder, cream is cream. I am not aware of mixing products to produce one or the other.


Do you use MAC? Maybelline? Most lines of make up will carry both types of shadows, buy a light colored one, a highlight color that you would use on your lid or brow, if you like it, buy more. If not-don't.


MAC carries eye shadows in powder and creamy/like textures.


They also have an awesome product called shade sticks, or paints.. they are primers for your eyeshadow. You use this product on your lid (all over) blend it, ( they'll advise you) then you can put powder all colors of the rainbow on your eyes, with a creamy ';set'; look, a matte look, or shiny look.. You decide.


It's best to try one of the neutral colors first, fast famous one is Beijing.Good luck!
I agree, Maybelline Dream Mousse is awesome! Very light and the color doesn't change during the day. I also like Eye Slicks by Covergirl, it's like a fat pencil like an eyeliner, except with eyeshadow. They glide on easily and stay all day.
