What do you do if your eye shadow won't stay on your eye lids?

i've tried putting it on with the brush and the stick type thing. i've also used foundation befor applyingWhat do you do if your eye shadow won't stay on your eye lids?
While MAC does haveamazing eyeshadows (believe me, I know...I own a lot of MAC eyeshadows), you can also get away with wearing the drugstore brands and not having them smear, smudge, or crease. The key is to getting a good product to ';prep'; your eye area. If it is one thing that you should spend money on, it's Urban Decay's Primer Potion (UDPP). Apply it to your eyelid and then apply your eyeshadow as you normally would. Seriously, the stuff is great. I've tried everything from MAC's Prep %26amp; Prime Eye, to MAC's Paint Pots, to MAC's regular paints, to concealers, foundations, vaseline, and other eye bases. Nothing works like UDPP. And a little bit goes a long way. I wear makeup for a good 8-12 hours on a normal day, and come home with the eyeshadow still looking like I have just put it on. It's well worth the investment, and works great with any eyeshadow. What do you do if your eye shadow won't stay on your eye lids?
don't wear it.

lol eyeshadow is like gross. in my opinion. it looks soooooooo fake.
It could be the eye shadow itself that you are using. Low-quality eye shadows do not have as strong of a staying power as high quality eye shadows, so I would suggest spending some money on your favourite eye shadow from MAC, which stays on for a very long time. Also, if your eyelids are oily, you can try applying your foundation (that you have already done) and maybe try a neutral eye shadow over the entire lid. If you want extra staying power, try Urban Decay's Primer Potion, found at Sephora stores. It is a clear primer that you put on the eye lid before you put on the eye shadow that helps it stay all day long. Good luck!
The best thing i have found to help with eye shadow is applying white eye liner first and then your powder shadow
Start with a moisturizer and foundation (like you do on your face) { I see that you've tried that} and then add the eye shadow using a wider brush than what they supply you with. and then if you want finish with a loose face powder. You might also try a different brand of eye shadow. I prefer Revlon eye shadow powder.
