Should i use lipgloss as eye shadow?

I saw somewhere on the internet (i forget where) that lipgloss as eye shadow gives a wet look....has anyone tried this?

If so, what lipglosses are better for that?

can it be harmful?Should i use lipgloss as eye shadow?
Some lip glosses, yes, can be harmful around the eye area, especially those that are formulated to ';plump'; lips as they contain cinnamon or mint oils whose sole purpose is to irritate the skin (which causes more blood flow to the area and thus the ';plumping'; temporary result). If you want a wet look, try a tiny bit of petroleum jelly over your eyeshadow or mixed in with it. It is pretty safe to use around the eye area if you are not allergic to petroleum products. Cream eyeshadows and liquid eyeshadows will give dewy looks as well.Should i use lipgloss as eye shadow?
ewww...no. it will be sticky plus we all know that lipgloss wears off fast...and i wouldn't want my eyes to looks all gross after it does.
dont try it. your eyes are very sensitive and some products are specifially made to be used on certain parts of your face. lip gloss is sticky and hard to remove because its waterproof and made for your mouth so imagine trying to remove that from your eyelids later...ouch! and imagine putting petroleum jelly or oil in your eyes because thats what it will feel like if it touches your eyeball during/after application...double ouch! there are some eyeshadows made to give you a wet or shiny look that are much safer im sure.
yes just don't put too much you don't want your eye ild feelin sticky, and if you have regular eyeshadow mix it it will give you a nice look
well, im sure its not harmful but the lipgloss would probably make yur eyelids feel sticky...and it would make them look oily ..but its yur choice
I wouldn't use lipgloss because it's so sticky and could drip down into your eyes and cause an eye infection which can be very dangerous.

Now listen to this...I went to school with a girl who used vaseline as eye shadow. It made her eyes look wet which is what you are looking for and it's not dangerous. Try it!!
I guess you could but just be careful becuase the eyelids are very thin, so things absorb into your eyes from your eyelids very easily, but it should be ok :)
eurgh no it will look really greasy
No. don't use lipgloss. use eyeshadow thats the pupose for that ok.
wow that sounds pretty cool! don't listen to me, but it doesn't seem harmful.
Vaseline and eye shadow mixed (just a little to wet the surface and not grease it can look pretty cool (think dewy and fresh)...or at least it looks cool to me. However, lip gloss or chapstick or anything like that wouldn't do the same thing. Like people said it might be sticky. It could also leave your lids feeling very heavy and gross. Whatever you do DON'T use lipgloss as a blush...it is not the same (think greasy clown). All just my opinion and some is based on experience. You could also try using blush instead of eyeshadow (this works fine for me...just use the compressed powder blush). You can even use the blush brush that it comes with the apply it to your lids...this works and I like it better than the small applicators that eyeshadow comes with...depending on the effect I'm looking for).
girl if you put lipgloss you will look not pretty so do not put lipgloss on your eyes
no don't do that.

its not meant for that. plus it will get all messy.
i have never done that and i don't want to

it can be harmful if it gets in your eyes i think it says that on the

lip gloss container

its bad for your skin

and if you wear it on your eyes doesn't it fell really weird???

you should just wear plan eyeshadow or use liquid eye shadow
read the lipgloss instrustuions DO NOT GET INTO EYES
lipgloss is for lips!

wouldnt you rather be safe than sorry? u can get mousse eyeshadows now- use them instead of lipgloss, they will look better too!
it is not harmful but it is not meant for that - better to use eye shadow - it more natural
I would use a eyeshadow wand (looks like lipstick or lip gloss) You achieve the same look! Here are my favs:

no because my friend did that and now she has white bumps the size of pimples on her eye lids and they alwats bleed because the bumps pop and come back
no, It might make your eyes look shiny, but it feels weird,hard-ends,and bad 4 Ur skin
I dont think that's a good idea you would think it would get sticky
dont do it. it will make your eyelids like stick together or look greasy
It's really bad for your eyes. Eye make-up has to go through different tests to make sure it's safe. Lip gloss is not formulated for your eyes! BAD IDEA!!! Use something like revelon cream shadow.
Ive done it.. with vasiline.. i thought i looked good and so did some of my friends.. %26amp; no i dont think that its harmful
i don't think its a good idea
i would use Vaseline or petroleum jelly
no i don't think it's harmfull i sometimes use my vaseline lip therapy it looks cool and not sticky
ew dont try that..that would make ur eyes look cheap. ew. use dior eyeshadow it kinda gives u a wet look.
i think lipgloss is better for the lips, they have liquid eyeshadow tho, that gives that shiny liquid look
